Hello, My name is Soyi and I am the manager of Mua guesthouse. I am also an artist and you can see my paintings hanging in every room. We have a tiny, beautiful garden with a swing chair, great to relax in, and a huge old asiatic jasmine vine hangs over our front gate. We can give you information about where to eat, what cultural events are coming up, and where to go sightseeing in and around Namwon.

Festival in Namwon
Chunhyang Festival- Gathering Lovers from All around the country.
Baraebong Royal Azalea Festival -From April to May, when the royal azaleas bloom, the Jirisan Mountain area hosts the beauty of these flower
Beamsagol Fall Foliage Festival -With the mountain full of fall foliage in the backdrop, the festival is held every late October.
Heungbu Festival -Heungbu festival, held on September 9 of the lunar calendar every year, celebrates the fraternal love of Heungbu and the spirit of repaying kindness through plays and farm music competitions.
Baraebong snow festival -Held from late December to February of the following year, the festival provides opportunity to partake in sledding, snow hiking, kite flying and snowfights for visitors to winter Jirisan Mountain,
Activities in Namwon
Traditional Music Activities-Namwon Gugak Center, and Hampau Music Hall, which provide systematic traditional music lessons.
Opportunities to learn from the masters of music to sing, and from the master craftsmen to make musical instruments would be welcome to anyone.
Pottery programs-At Namwon, the birthplace of pottery culture in Korea, anyone can participate in pottery making classes offered by Namwon City Pottery College. The city also hosts an international pottery camp to invigorate the trade.
Wooden Lacquerwares-The combination of traditional lacquer crafts of Namwon and woodencraft created a unique program that provides unforgettable experience to tourists to Namwon.
Performances in Namwon
The parade for Singwansatto -This cultural program is derived from Chunhyangjeon, participated by eighty people from the general public. This procession performance takes place at Chunhyang Theme Park and Gwanghalluwon Garden.
A Midsummer Night’s Musical Journey -This performance began as a summer regular performance of Namwon City Gugak Group in 1995. This program takes place for one month at the outdoor stage at the Plaza of Love.
Gwanghallu Love Songs, a Nighttime Performance in a Traditional Building.
-In Gwanghallu, one of the best pavilions in Korea where Chunyang and Mongryong first fell in love, Namwon City Gugak Group provides singing performances by the master singers on a waterfront stage at a beautiful garden capable of making many people fall in love.

Silsangsa Temple- is a special buddhist sanctuary, located in the middle of a wide, flat field. The site of the temple was originally a forest densely populated with trees, a village and farm feed the villagers were formed, Founded by Grand Master Jeunggak in 828, the third year of Silla King Heungdeok’s reign, is home to cultural artifacts that are more than ten centuries old, such as Baekgangam Three story Pagoda , a stone lamp and Seated Medicine lron Buddhat.
Gyoryongsanseong Fortress-the name of Namwon during the Baekje Dynasty Era. This fortress, founded back while the kingdom was still active, features ninety-nine wells and a stream within its walls, leading historians to conjecture that it was a defensive centre for the residents of Namwon area during military conflicts

Jirisan Mountain, the spiritual Mountain of the Korean people
-he ridge stretches for forty kilometers in Jirisan mountain, in which twenty or so peaks stand tall, alongside numerous scenic points and the sorrow of the Korean people.
Jirisan Dullegil Trails- is a road in which people can meet the nature and villages in every passes and alleys, discovering the meaning of historyand culture of each place.
Yocheon River, the largest Source of Water for Seomjingang River-flowing across Namwon while delivering the wealth of Jeolla-do Province, is the lifeline of Namwon. Originating in Baekunsan Mountain and flowing into Yocheon river, the river cuts across downtown Namwon and converges into Seomjingang River
